Capricorn New Moon: December 24, 2011 - Barbara Hand Clow

The New Moon in Capricorn has arrived, the time to assess our fundamental goals, a time to deeply consider our priorities. This year has been a year of disorienting change, which is affecting everyone and everything in the world. During these last days of 2011, the North Korean dictator Kim Jong IL died, Typhoon Washi devastated the Philippines, and people in Russia are demonstrating against political oppression. What a memorable year this was that began, and ended, with stunning regime changes and natural disasters! Things have changed so fundamentally that many of us wonder if we really understand reality, and some feel like just doing a few simple things to be happy. Maybe we are realizing we don't have to do everything in this one lifetime-because we have more to live? A new way of knowing-unity consciousness-is helping us to realize we've already experienced many things, so now it is time to make this life special. The Capricorn mode knows how to do this better than any other sign of the Zodiac.

Jupiter goes direct in 0 Taurus right on Christmas Day, following its retrograde journey ever since August 10. Noting the great reorganization of money triggered by the December Full Moon with Uranus direct, we can see that Jupiter in Taurus has really brought pressure for more equality in financial systems as the European financial crisis took center stage. We've had five months of the bankers and politicians moving money around to strengthen and stabilize weak parts of the systems. With Uranus direct in 0 Aries and beginning a new 84-year cycle, Jupiter direct in 0 Taurus provides the maximal level of solidity and integrity for these developments in world financial systems. Of course, these bold reorganizations may not hold, especially since the Federal Reserve, joined by six sovereign-nation banks, made the deal to hold interest rates down while Mercury was retrograde in early December. Still, the big move by the Fed to back foreign banks may end up being the beginning of new financial fairness in the world. We will probably know which way this will go by December 28 when the Sun conjuncts Pluto in 7 Capricorn.

Regardless of which way the world markets go, now that Jupiter and Uranus are direct, the game changers are actually the decisions being made by each one of us! Think about it. Have the roiling markets and banking gymnastics changed anything in your local world? Probably not, so now it is time to draw your attention to your own plans and priorities, which is the classical genius of Capricorn. After all, it is the dysfunctional and destructive systems of the last five thousand years that are passing away, not the collective reality created by your personal genius. Capricorn is a teacher of individuated power and wisdom, a stubborn goat who pushes you out of the collective mental fog and offers you a new path if you will just act. This year's New Moon in Capricorn is an especially wonderful guide for adopting true individuality.

Since the December New Moon occurs only two days after the Solstice, I will not reanalyze all the resonating aspects between all the luminaries (except Mars). The Solstice reading will be posted until the Spring Equinox, and it will be a good idea to reread it a few times this winter because this is the kind of astrology that creates entirely new fractal fields, the essential creative domains that formulate our dimension. Since Mars has little influence during the winter season, nothing will stop this process. Mars is still unaspected during the New Moon, so we have plenty of time to find our own place within these new creative fields during this lunation. With Uranus newly direct in 0 Aries and starting a new 84-year creative agenda, we all have a clean slate-just like the moment a black board is erased with a warm, wet cloth. Martial aggressiveness is temporarily disarmed (Mars unaspected), and Jupiter direct in 0 Taurus confers excellent judgment that encourages us to follow the advice of truly wise, compassionate elders. It really is amazing how many despots and dictators disappeared from the collective scene during 2011, which means millions of individuals feel like they have a chance for a creative and free life! At this critical junction in world politics, like a gift from heaven, this New Moon is very personal and very self-enabling, but only if you can drop all fear about the crashing systems that surround you.

Many of you care about the financial collapse and the exposing of sexual abuse and the drugging of the populace, because it is exciting to see the truth being told! Are you surprised that almost all world leaders are such jackasses and fakes-since this is always the case during corrupt historical periods? Good men and women do not serve in public office within rotting and bloated empires. Are you really surprised the money is gone when most of the people you know have been in debt during most of their lives? Amazingly, these ways disappear when the fractal fields favor the individual right to happiness and freedom. This Capricorn New Moon is riddled with gems of wisdom and highly unusual guidance just when we each need it the most, so let's see how this works.

The potential for effective deep change and completely new paths exists during this New Moon because Pluto in 7 Capricorn conjuncts the Sun/Moon in 3 Capricorn. Truth and avoidance of secrecy is the order of the day, and the aspects to Pluto/Sun/Moon (the Capricorn stellium) reveal how this game may play out: Saturn in 28 Libra sextiles the stellium, which causes people to fight for justice; Saturn relentlessly breaks down the crumbling structures of globalism. Neptune/Chiron sextile the stellium, so we are inspired to use healing intentions and spiritual guidance to clean out and eliminate these destructive former ways of life. This is critical because a significant transformation of our species is simply not even possible without divine guidance; this is a time to trust the wisdom of evolution.

2011 Winter Solstice: December 22, 2011 - Barbara Hand Clow

The Winter Solstice has arrived north of the Equator, a time of deep contemplation and mystical immersion following nine months of setting goals and then creating them in your world. [And for those of you living south of the Equator, it is the Summer Solstice, a time of expressing fully the goals set three months ago at your Spring Equinox.] Now it is time to consider the meaning of your work in the greater world and in the universe. 

The Mayan Calendar culminated October 28, 2011, so this is the first Winter Solstice after the completion of our long evolutionary journey into Oneness; surely, this tipping point is very significant. Many of you are also aware that many people are instead focusing on December 21, 2012, the academic date (G.M.T. Correlation) for the end date of the Calendar. Some of those working with 2012 as the end date for the Calendar believe this date is the big alignment-the Winter Solstice Sun with the Galactic Center at 27 Sagittarius. However, this alignment actually attained its closest point in 1998, so the 2012 Winter Solstice is not a big deal, since each Winter Solstice from around 1973 through 2023 is involved. Yet, this influence does herald the total transformation of human consciousness. Therefore, the first Winter Solstice after the real ending of the Calendar a few months ago cannot be underestimated; it has the potency to further open unity consciousness. 

Since the ending of the Calendar on October 28, significant breakdowns of male domination are visible. For example, the exposure of abusive football coaches; American troops finally leaving Iraq; and the pressure to get the final troops out of Afghanistan and Pakistan. Since it is so difficult to imagine our world turning positive, I've been using astrology as a tool for ideas about how such a shift might occur. The reading for the Sagittarius (Sag) New Moon noted that the wild December 10 Gemini lunar eclipse (the fulfillment of the Sag New Moon) would be intense because Uranus went direct at 0 Aries. This combination seems to have shredded patriarchal financial resistance to supporting fairness with money because the Euro nations were forced to come to an agreement based on greater sharing. In the reading for the New Moon in Sag, which featured a wonderful grand trine in the earth element-Mars in Virgo trine Pluto in Capricorn trine Jupiter in Taurus-I noted that, "It (the grand trine) suggests that the world financial structures will not collapse totally because unexpected levels of support arrive that ease the transition into more fairness and equality." 

Sagittarius New Moon: November 25, 2011 - Barbara Hand Clow

The New Moon in Sagittarius has arrived! It is a subtle partial eclipse that encourages us to go within to discover the spiritual fire. This lunation is quiet and meditative, so it could be easy to just pass it by. Meanwhile, it is an optimal time to strengthen our multidimensional connections, since this New Moon culminates in a very intense total lunar eclipse on December 10. This will inspire a huge reality shift when the world realizes that the huge changes already in gear cannot be stopped. Those who follow these readings know the Mayan Calendar influence has culminated, and now we flow into 2012 seeking a whole new relationship with Earth. In this sense, 2012 is as important as the wild Universal Underworld time acceleration just completed on October 28, 2011. As we prepare for more great shifts, this New Moon is the perfect homeopathic remedy to wake up our cells; the coming times require cellular intelligence, the ultimate form of human unity.

This New Moon and some comments about the Full Moon offers some reflections on October 28, the first New Moon after the Calendar's completion. I thinkastrological factors are going to have a greater influence on our species now that growth driven by the World Tree has completed. Gerry and I been part of a few groups during the Universal Underworld, and we taught two workshops on November 17 and 19, which really helps us know how people are feeling. Most everybody thinks something really happened during 2011, even though it is hard to define and describe it. The fall of so many world leaders, radical scientific theoretical shifts, and the gyrating world economies strongly support Carl Calleman's theory as well as the McKenna brother's Timewave Zero, which also ends at the end of 2011. A directive evolutionary process has completed itself, and we are poised to live differently, yet we don't know what that will be. This New Moon report offers some sense of direction by also including the Full Moon that follows on December 10. Both are needed in this case; Mercury turns retrograde half a day before this New Moon and then goes direct right after the Full Moon; and Uranus is still retrograde during the New Moon, and then goes direct a few hours before the Full Moon. Mercury retrograde pulls our awareness deep within to shed light on the inner truths, while Uranus direct in 0 Aries is the mover and shaker of reality fields. Finally, the Full Moon's T-square with Mars at the head resolves the New Moon T-square with Mars squaring the dark Moon, so Mars must be examined in both charts.

Scorpio New Moon: October 26, 2011 - Barbara Hand Clow

Global (and individual) balancing began with the Fall Equinox and was reinforced by the Libra New Moon on September 27-and now the time for truth and personal integrity has arrived. This Scorpio New Moon's dark intensity reminds us to cleanse our emotions and see what still remains. Under strong Scorpio influence, everything gets destroyed that can't handle the hard and clear light of truth. Pluto, the ruler of Scorpio, went direct on September 16, the day before Occupy Wall Street began, so Scorpio cleansing is global; people are connecting to demand equal justice for all.

This New Moon is unusually influential because it arrives two days before the end of the Mayan Calendar on October 28, 2011. We have reached the evolutionary turning point of our species-and we must each consider becoming intentional keepers of Earth. Those who continue to use Earth for their own desires with no consideration for the planet's multidimensional fields of creation are going to crash and burn. Those who accept their eco-sensitive creative mantle-the new aura of Gaia-are the new seeds for our planet's beautiful future. As October 28 arrives, the Nine Underworlds of Creation will rebirth many Earth Keepers. This exciting New Moon in Scorpio sets the field for the simultaneous culmination of Nine Underworlds. The period from the New Moon through midnight on October 28 will probably be remarkable and mystical, so I will examine it with great care.

The creative agendas of the first eight Underworlds have been driven to completion during the intensely accelerated Days of the Universal Underworld since March 9, 2011. Many dualities are resolving as the allurement of Oneness shifts the fractal fields, and many feel their personal design within this great cosmic weaving. The awakening of the Cellular is complete, now that we realize that each cell is intelligent. . . the Tree of Life has born fruit in all the species that evolved during the Mammalian over 820 million years. . . these species discovered ways to share by discovering family bonding over 41 million years in the Familial. . . and intelligence sharpened during the two-million-year Tribal. Our hearts opened during the Regional when we discovered the sacred, the numinous. We explored the desire to control and possess for 5,125 long years during the National. . . and then we sought security and comfort starting in 1755 during the Planetary. Since the January 1999 opening of the Galactic, we've connected ourselves by means of technology. . . and now during 2011 these creative developments are swirling us into a spiral of Oneness during the Universal.

Our species will require hundreds, if not thousands, of years to consciously process all the abuses that were the natural result of our rise to consciousness during the 16.4 billion years described by the Calendar. Like trying to push a huge fallen tree erect, there is no turning back now. Now that we have attained fruition through these nine phases of evolution, we will learn to respect the incredible intelligence of each cell; protect all species; value the genius of family bonding;admire the awesome power of mind; feel the power in our hearts; identify hierarchical power; bless nature's plenty; use technology as a tool, not a toy; and enjoythe bliss of Oneness. We will invent the new world by co-creating reality in universal awareness. I am sure of this because I have faithfully followed all the Days and Nights of the Universal Underworld this year, and I have seen irreversible new patterns taking shape; for example, the increasing bans on the use of nuclear energy for power. Now we are flying into the radical spiral. When this vortex calms down, we must identify what we have accomplished; otherwise, we may not have the will and vision with which to go forward. So, let's assess our progress, and then I will read this New Moon to see how its field might help us embrace the simultaneous culmination of all Nine Underworlds.

Libra New Moon: September 27, 2011 - Barbara Hand Clow

The time for balance, harmony, and justice arrives with the New Moon in Libra, a dynamic that is intensified by its arrival soon after the Fall Equinox. This year's strong bond between the Fall Equinox and the New Moon draws my attention to the influence of the Super Galactic Center (SGC) on our world. The Fall Equinox always activates the SGC energy zone, since it is located at 2 Libra from Earth's perspective. When fall arrives, the Sun moves into Libra and aspects this zone, which draws our minds out through the center of the Milky Way Galaxy and into the SGC vortex. This reading is intriguing because the SGC is unusually activated by the transits of Mercury and the New Moon to the SGC.

Very complex psychic dynamics are awakening us now. As I noted in the Fall Equinox reading, we are carefully watching the Uranus squares to Pluto moving into close range this year, reality-shifting squares that will be exact seven times through 2015. The themes to be brought to the forefront during the Uranus/Pluto squares are already taking shape by means of planets forming squares to Uranus-square-Pluto. For example, in this chart, Mercury/New Moon opposes Uranus and squares Pluto, which makes Pluto into the head of the T-square. Then, with Mercury/New Moon transiting the SGC, this T-square is sensitizing our species to the powers of the SGC!

This influence came in very strongly during the Fall Equinox, and many awoke to a new and magical world on September 23. The SGC is the astrological gateway into the Universe itself, so the opening of this wormhole helps us flow with the highly accelerated frequencies of the Universal Underworld! 2011 Fall Equinox: September 23, 2011 - Barbara Hand Clow

It is the Fall Equinox north of the equator, and the Spring Equinox south of the equator. In the north, it is time to balance the intentions you created during the Spring Equinox, while in the south it is time to create new intentions for what you want to create during the year. This site is written for readers north of the equator, so those down south will need to apply this reading to their spring intentions.

It is the Fall Equinox, the great balancing moment when we gather ourselves together to prepare for the clarity and challenge of winter. This equinox is especially energized because the Spring Equinox occurred soon after the beginning of the Universal Underworld on March 9, 2011-and this Fall Equinox occurs shortly before the completion of the Universal on October 28, 2011. Therefore this short period is the richest and most conscious evolutionary phase we have ever experienced as humans. As most of you already know, 2011 is the apex of time acceleration. Evolution has progressed twenty times faster during the Galactic Underworld (1999-2011), and with only weeks remaining, we are reflecting upon 16.4 billion years of growth in our universe.

Since March 9, we have been analyzing our progress by the seven Days and six Nights of the Universal; and many of us have awakened our latent human capacity that leads us to co-creation with divine forces. Day Six of the Universal (Sept. 5-22), the flowering phase of the Universal, is complete as Night Six opens on the Fall Equinox. The synchronicity between the Mayan Calendar and these astrological cycles reminds us that the critical leap in these rapidly intensifying evolutionary phases occurs during Night Six (Sept. 23 to Oct. 10). During Night Six's in previous Underworlds, cataclysms shook things up and new evolutionary strains came forth. Now, something will happen that will cause a few individuals to work directly with divine forces, and soon more and more people will discover this advanced capacity. Virgo New Moon - August 28, 2011 - Barbara Hand Clow

The New Moon in Virgo is here, the time to address practical issues. This annual call to get it together is especially crucial during 2011, since this New Moon arrives a day after the midpoint of Night Five of the Universal Underworld, the destructive phase of the Ninth Underworld. Deep wisdom exists in this synchronicity between the annual call to focus on our personal needs during the greatly heightened stress of Night Five (August 18-September 4). This New Moon in Virgo is the ultimate teacher about an important human dilemma, which is, you can't expect things to change in the outer world without first changing yourself.

I continue to be stunned by the correct timing of Calleman's Mayan Calendar analysis, which studies 2011 by a series of 7 Days and Six Nights that are 18 days long and peak during very potent midpoints. [See The Mayan Code by Clow, and be aware that the timing for the Universal Underworld is slightly off in this book because Calleman changed his dates in 2010 after it was published.] The Virgo New Moon coming the day after the midpoint focuses the Night Five wave of destruction; maybe it will intensify it. For example, as I compose this analysis, the rebels have seized Gadhafi's compound in Tripoli; the whole Middle East is embroiled in social conflict; Israel is in conflict with newly liberated Egypt; the US and Britain are threatening Assad of Syria with regime change; and a 5.9 earthquake rattled the East Coast shutting down some nuclear reactors. When Night Five opened August 18, hideous riots broke out in England, the American stock exchange fell 435 points, the revolutionaries began their march on Tripoli, and Fareed Zakaria announced, "This is the moment of truth for Europe."

Americans are losing their homes while watching famines in Somalia and bombings in Iraq on TV, and political stability in Pakistan and Afghanistan is collapsing. The earthquake in Virginia emphasizes the risks of using nuclear energy for power, an issue that began at the opening of the Universal when the great quake and tsunami destroyed the Fukashima Daichi nuclear reactors. They are in meltdown, radiation levels in the sea are at catastrophic levels, and radiation is being detected in Japan's sacred plant, rice. As for the eastern seaboard and potential threats from the North Anna Nuclear Reactor, which is two miles from the quake's epicenter, Paul Gunter, the director of Beyond Nuclear commented, "Once again, Mother Nature is warning us that nuclear power is the most brittle of electrical powers systems." This plant was designed to withstand a 5.9-6.1 quake, the Virginia quake was 5.9, and it was very shallow, which caused more shaking. These are the Night Five destructions, yet soon we will witness the first evidences of the new world coming in September 5-22, Day Six of the Universal Underworld.

Leo New Moon: July 30, 2011 - Barbara Hand Clow

The New Moon in Leo has arrived, and with it comes our moment to awaken courage in our hearts and stoke the fires of unconditional love. This New Moon is the top of a Yod (see below) that activates and deepens the powers of the sextile between Pluto in Capricorn and Neptune/Chiron in Pisces. Yods are great directors of our energy, so this year's Leo phase is full of fire and creativity. Venus in 3 Leo is moving toward the Sun, so the goddess inspires the flames of wisdom. Also, the New Moon conjuncts the lunar North Node in the USA's founding chart (1776), so this heart opening reveals deep implications for Americans. Many now realize that time acceleration is a real influence; things are going so fast that most people can't remember what happened last week. Well, this New Moon is the hot match that ignites the voracious field of constant change.

My reading for the July 1 Cancer New Moon was prophetic, so we must consider what happened under its influence since the July events will probably expand during August. The previous New Moon was the third of three eclipses that encapsulated the Summer Solstice. These eclipses really did their job, and reality has been rearranged in very shocking ways. The midpoint of the Universal Underworld (March 9 to October 28) was July 3-4, which coincided with the fall of a big demon-the media mogul Rupert Murdoch. Next, the midpoint of Night Four of the Universal (July 21-22) was besmirched by the hideous murders in Norway, a country known for its peace and order. Its capital, Oslo, is the final significant city at the northern end of the World Tree midline. Cancer New Moon Solar Eclipse: July 1, 2011 - Barbara Hand Clow

The New Moon in Cancer has arrived, the lunar activation of the June 21 Solstice, which north of the Equator is the emotional maturity of the strong Sun. In the solstice reading, I had fun playing with its magical field of vibrations, which was like a medieval madrigal. The solstice was absolutely revelatory for me this year, and during it I downloaded a compelling series of cosmic insights; these I share with you now as this lunation activates the midpoint of the Universal Underworld. Also, following the solstice, I noticed that some people close to me are turning their attention to prophecies of doom-and-gloom. Suddenly, segments of the New Age are becoming obsessed with the comets Honda and Elenin that are coming into our solar system this summer; some even suggest they are the fulfillment of the prophecies of the end times in Revelations. We hear wild tales of hail, fire, three days of darkness, and the avenging god, Jehovah demanding repentance! Meanwhile, I was basking in joyful goddess consciousness imagining Earth pulling comets, asteroids, and meteors into her complex folds, like a lover being seeded with sperm.

The Summer Solstice has arrived north of the Equator where it is time to breathe, relax, be sensual, and to become fully embodied. South of the Equator, it is the Winter Solstice where it is time to assess what you've created during the year, especially to consider your Spring Equinox intentions made during September 2010. For those of us living in the north, our spring coincided with the opening stages of the Universal Underworld on March 9 (hereinafter the Universal). Experiencing the Days and Nights of the Universal during only 18 days is causing great changes in our personal and collective lives. Thus, letting go and relaxing will be difficult this summer. For most people, it's been hard not to be totally distracted with so much going on, so it could be easy to miss this summer's potential to flesh out and deepen what we've been creating since March. Yet, remember, you create your own reality, and the events in the outer world are deeply connected and inspired by what's in your minds. Please take a look at your Spring Equinox intentions to assess how you are doing now, and also take note of the things that are popping into your life that you didn't even plan on. Gemini New Moon: June 1, 2011 - Barbara Hand Clow

The New Moon in Gemini has arrived! It's time to quicken and share the great innovations we seeded during the Spring Equinox. As we approach this activating moment, our plates are so full this spring! This is because the Universal Underworld (hereinafter "Universal") is rapidly leading us into Unity Consciousness, since the Days and Nights of the Universal are only eighteen days long. The planetary positions during this New Moon show how we can take advantage of this amazing force. During the previous two months with the Aries and Taurus lunar cycles, five (often six) luminaries were in Aries, the strongest activator of the twelve signs. This phase grandly exploded reality on the very day of the New Moon on April 3 when Mars (ruled by Aries) joined with Uranus newly arrived in Aries. Now, this Gemini New Moon is a solar eclipse, so connections with cosmic levels are very strong, causing many to access higher states of consciousness. Contact with multidimensional realms will increase through the June 15 lunar eclipse, which is in close alignment with the Galactic Center. Expect many joyful and creative moments amidst really crazy and intense time accelerations; just surrender and flow.

The many planets in Aries were perfect for seeding and germinating the Universal's evolutionary agenda during the first two Days and Nights. Wow! It is undeniably happening. Now we are in the sprouting phase of Day Three (May 20-June 6), which already is fulfilling its promise. There are three eclipses during Day Three and Night Three (June 7-24); the final solar eclipse is July 1 during Day Four (June 25-July 12). These eclipses will open our minds and feelings to cosmic knowledge. This Day Three sprouting process can be thought of as a period in which each person-from king/president to simple worker-gets his or her ducks in a row. Most of you have been experiencing astonishing and perplexing events. As for the world, even major media commentators frequently say they can't believe how much is going on right now. Things are going so fast that the news is quite unfiltered, since even the global elite can't keep up with events. The majority of humankind knows what's going on in the world because of instantaneous global media; for example, the heart opening reports on floods and tornadoes, and the major political shifts in the Middle East. I am very grateful for this visual and audio panorama, yet tracking all these events is exceedingly difficult.

Taurus New Moon: May 3, 2011 - Barbara Hand Clow

The New Moon in Taurus has arrived, the time to ground and substantiate the great innovations that we each accomplished during the Aries lunation. The Aries New Moon phase is when we begin new projects and take on major commitments, and in 2011, this lunation inspired unprecedented levels of personal and global change. As you will see with this reading, the time has come to identify and strengthen the steps you've already made this last month. The 9.0 Japanese quake and tsunami that caused the nuclear disaster occurred during the opening of the Universal Underworld, just when the Middle East also exploded, making these the major themes that will play out during 2011 as the Universal Underworld unfolds.
