But I Gave You Everything!
I had a conversation with a woman in a restaurant this week and she told me about how she and her husband had given all of their time and energy to a company for more than 13 years and they both lost their jobs. She eventually found another job but her husband spiraled into a depression that resulted in their divorce. I could see that she loved her husband and was very sad and angry about his inability to deal with the situation and his rejection of her because, as she said, she had given him everything, had been a loving and supportive partner but none of that seemed to matter to him and she was now alone.
Several times during our conversation she said that she had put him first in her life and had done the same with her job and was not rewarded for her efforts, either by keeping her job or her marriage. We didn't have time to go into a long discussion about putting others' needs above our own and what happens when we do that but I did tell her that her focus had to be on herself now, and that her husband would make the choices that were right for him. No matter what she gave him, he would not be able to become what she needed him to be because his outer world could not mirror more love or success than he had within him. And that was something he had to create for himself-no one could create it for him, or give him enough of their own time and energy to be able to create it for himself.
Our talk brought to mind something I often hear from clients, as they look at relationships that do not work out as they had hoped and wonder what they did wrong. But often, and as in the case of this woman, when we give everything to our relationships and have expectations attached to the results we are disappointed because we will only be satisfied with what meets our expectations. So we want to keep the job we give 60+ hours a week to, or the relationship that takes all of our emotions, energy and time. What we want to receive from our efforts is our agenda and the view from the perspective of our neediness and demands is not a pretty one.
The nature of our agenda lies within us, what do we expect to receive by giving everything to something or someone outside of ourselves and how can we possibly fulfill our own healing purpose when we are so focused on healing or fulfilling something or someone else? At some point we receive the lesson, that our outside focus is limiting our growth and these relationships end so we can shift our focus to the inner work that we can do to create the loving, fulfilling relationships that we can have, but maybe not from that person or situation. Are we up to the task? When it's time for us to do that, every relationship is removed until we are left alone, with ourselves, and have to pick up the pieces of our energy that we have scattered throughout so many different agendas so we can get back to creating our relationships from the inside out, focused on our self until our outer world can mirror all of the love we have for ourselves back to us.

The Energies of October
This is going to be a busy and eventful month that is full of potential and learning opportunities and I also feel that it will end much differently than it began. There are many important aspects this month, including entering the 7th and final day of the of the 9th wave of the Mayan Calendar on October 11 and its end on Oct. 28. We will have some powerful energy downloads too with the new and full moons and some sobering realizations that will either propel us into new ways of being or depress us more deeply into victim consciousness. This is a month of big choices, new understandings and a choice for humanity to have the courage to go where it has never been able to go before.
October is also a '5' month numerologically, (10 + 2011 = 5) which introduces us to the '5' energies we will experience in 2012, so it is a preliminary introduction of what we will be experiencing next year. 5 is an awkward number, not stable and grounded on the earth as 4 is and not evenly centered and balanced between heaven and earth as 6. With 5 we are halfway between heaven and earth, not grounded in either one but with access to both. Every choice becomes important and reflects where we are and how we can adjust our thinking to be centered and grounded where we need and want to be in every area of our life.
Becoming aware of our power is a little like driving a really fast car, which silently and effortlessly takes us way over the speed limit and it feels like we're hardly moving at all. Then when we get into our own car the differences between it and the fast car are very obvious. It is a 'let down' that either makes us feel inferior or motivates us into new ways of being. This month we will be given a chance to see what is on the other side of the mountain we have been climbing for so long, then we can compare that feeling to what is not working in our life and it can feel like the Universe is conspiring against us. But this is our call to review what is not contributing to our joy, what takes energy from us, what is too much work and effort and replace it with something else.
What do we deserve, what do we really want, what are we willing to release in order to be more aligned with our heart's desires? Alignment and integration are two big themes we will experience for the rest of the year. Is everything in your life aligned with what you truly want? If not, let it go before it leaves of its own accord. Have you integrated your learning? How many times do we want to repeat lessons? Once is enough but we can go over the same ground again and again until we integrate its learning into our lives by using that information to make other choices. We are at a scary place because we have never been here before and now, more than ever, integrating what we have learned so we can co-create our world and the world, is on our shoulders. Whatever we choose, the Universe will support us and since we can choose anything, let's focus on choosing the highest and best for ourselves and expand our higher consciousness, intentions for joy, love and peace, alignment and integration into the world.

Uriel's Message -- Grounded and Re-Grounding
You enter the third dimension with many different energies that have been accumulated in lifetimes of experience. All of these energies comprise your energetic body that consists of emotions, feelings, thoughts and beliefs. Each of these energies carries its own frequency and all are aligned with your healing purpose. With these energies you create patterns of thought and action that either fulfill them or move you to change them, transforming lower level energies into higher ones. You can re-ground yourselves into new energies through conscious intention, healing and alignment with your divine center which holds your highest vibrations.
You are grounded in every energetic frequency you choose to be aligned with. On an unconscious level these energies are expressed in what you choose to be within your reality. When you become aware of feelings of dissatisfaction or unhappiness with your life, you are ready to release these old frequencies and re-ground into new ones. The process of releasing energy is challenging because as humans you feel safe and comfortable when you are grounded, even if what you are grounded in is not comfortable or secure. There is security in knowing where you are, even if that is not where you want to be.
Re-grounding requires conscious intention and courage. You must intend for new energies to become part of your reality and have courage to incorporate them because new energies align you with unfamiliar patterns and everything in your life changes. There is as much fear in the new as there is discomfort in the old and when your desire for change is greater than your fear of remaining where you are, you will find the courage to be in the space of being ungrounded, to acknowledge the end of old dreams and the beginning of new ones and out of alignment with your current reality.
As the earth sheds its old paradigms and makes way for new ones, you feel the discomfort and are confronted with your own limitations, which are where you are grounded. Feeling stuck is one way you experience this, because when your grounded energies no longer serve you there is little movement in your life. This is your soul's call to transform, to release what no longer has a place in your energetic body, to allow new energies to become part of your reality and to shift into new paradigms so you can be free to experience life on a new level. Ascension is movement and you are all ascending into the miracle vibration which is part of your promise to the Universe and you do that by choosing new energies to ground into your being. Choose those that fulfill your soul's desire for peace, joy, love and abundance.
What Are You Made Of?

The world has changed a lot in the last 50 years and the changes happened because of Indigos. One of their greatest strengths is to be able to see what's wrong and have the desire to make it right. And they are not afraid to stand up for their beliefs, they just don't always know what to do and don't like working alone, even though they often have to until enough people decide to join their efforts. Life can seem like an uphill battle in these situations and quitting can be tempting but there is always something that prevents them from giving up, no matter how dire the situation. And success hinges on what you're made of and how much you believe in yourself and in your dreams.
I know that some of you struggle with a lack of confidence and you haven't had life experiences that inspire positive or successful thinking, but you can choose what you allow to define you and your life. What do you decide to be made of, your powerlessness or your power? Your victim experiences or your victory over them? The lack of support for your dreams or how you overcame your detractors to realize that you are the only one who dictates the terms of your life? Remember those we admire as leaders in world transformation, such as Martin Luther King, Oprah, Marianne Williamson, and Nelson Mandela are some who come to mind, used their life challenges as a springboard to their success. So, what do you choose to be made of, when you can choose anything?
What we focus on is what we become and the potential of Indigo energy is either limited by its experiences or empowered by them. We are so close to achieving our goals that now is not the time to give up, even though things seem to be getting worse instead of better. Those of you who have given birth know that the process of labor prepares the body for childbirth-then the baby must be pushed out of the womb. We're at that part of the process now and a few big energetic pushes will give birth to the world we want to create. What we decide to be made of - how we use our experiences to empower or disempower or dreams - is how we are choosing for ourselves and the world. This is what we came to do and we're in it together, connected in ways our ancestors never dreamed of. Find your center, ground yourself in the possibilities of a new paradigm for the world and push ahead, you have what it takes and this is moment you have been preparing for in all of the lifetimes of experience you have had on Earth.
