Something’s gotta give.
There’s a lot of conjecture in the blogsphere about the final 10 days of August. As astrologers prognosticate and religious zealots store food, the shrouded proclamations of Mayan elders get lost in the bustle of back-to-school shopping sprees.
Can we just stop for a moment and breathe?
The tremendous volatility we experience in our lives and our world these days is fueled by creative fire. Riots and revolution, economic upheaval, weather anomalies and Earth changes are all part of the design. So are flashes of brilliance and insight. This is an exciting, dangerous, breathtaking moment in human history.
In the days leading up to the Virgo New Moon this weekend, we’re invited to enter the fire and dance through the golden flames to freedom.
Break free. Break through. Transcend. Recreate. These magical moments don’t come along every day.

August 23 – Sun enters Virgo
August 25 – Mars and the Moon square Saturn, reactivating the Grand Cardinal Cross
August 26 – Sun opposes Chiron; Mercury stations direct
August 28 – Virgo New Moon (11:04 p.m. Eastern) conjuncts Venus and trines Jupiter and Pluto
August 30 – Jupiter stations retrograde in Taurus
Ongoing – Venus continues her underworld journey, re-emerging as Evening Star in September; Fifth Night of the Mayan Ninth Wave continues through September 4
Virgo Dreaming
All new moons are about endings and new beginnings. The Sabian symbol for the new moon at 5 Virgo is “a man dreaming of fairies.” The image expresses an open sensibility, highly refined. It inspires the individual to align his or her life with a dream for all humanity.
Venus conjuncts the new moon and Chiron opposes it. The Sun-Moon-Venus triple conjunction forms an exquisite grand trine in Earth signs with Pluto and Jupiter. Chiron triggers the trine from Aquarius. The Grand Cardinal Cross continues with Saturn, Uranus, Pluto and Mars all in tense, hard aspect to each other.
This profound lunation demands we heal our hearts, realign our values, get real and take action. What’s important in this world, in this life? How are we caring for ourselves, each other and the planet? Are we being true to the soul?

What kind of economy do we create that’s both local and global? What new forms of governance would truly serve our needs, going forward? What aspects of our culture should we preserve? We’ve come to a precipice. Beyond lies the abyss. Deep trust is needed to allow the unfolding of consciousness energized by these transits. Through this expansion, we’ll transform the current reality. The sequence through this period is about:

This is an individual process that will radiate and transform the collective. That’s the power of one.
Find your own truth, align with the soul, embody divinity and voila! The world around you changes. Oddly, the “oneness” that lies at the heart of the Mayan Ninth Wave is about the individual.
It’s just so simple and so elegant. Truth is like that.
Onward
Within a year of wildly transformative energy driven by a persistent Grand Cardinal Cross, August is a pivotal month. Either we’ll “get” how powerful we are and take responsibility for co-creating what comes next, or we’ll continue the illusion and wait for someone to tell us what’s going to happen and what we should do.
I vote we make something delicious with all this creative juice.
